Hello, to anyone invested in Crodur and reading the articles. I am afraid there will be a small delay until the next one is published. It pains me to communicate this, but many issues (most of them my fault, let’s not beat around the bush) arised.
As a little spoiler, the next article was on Hells and Heavens series, this time featuring the Tuonela of the Finnic mythology. Unfortunately, the sources were very confusing to me; popular mistellings, contradictions between the sources, and outright hoaxes (some sources mentioning guards all over the Tuonela, while I scanned the main ones and found nothing or creatures that are barely mentioned originally and all around have a made up, false traits added, to name a couple). I spent hours researching, only to end up more confused than I was when I started!
Paired with a busy schedule outside the site, I have been too busy to produce anything new. So, that explains this latest radio silence, that will probably continue for a week or two. Sorry about that!
My next article will be about one of the other already started series, since some of them have been idling for a while already. Fortunately, I have plenty of loose ends to get back to, and Hells and Heavens is still quite recent. Maybe a couple of articles later I will try to get through a different underworld while I keep investigating Tuonela. The future is uncertain!
So, this is pretty much it, just a post to reassure you the site is still well and kicking. See you as soon as I’m a bit more free!
